Mom's Stash!

It's Mommy's Day YAY!

Here's a quick, simple, but yet awesome last minute ('cause I'm a horrible procrastinator) gift I made to give to some wonderful women in my life.

Mom's Secret Stash Candy Jars

I found these cute little jars in the kitchen area at Wal-Mart for a little over a dollar.

Then I printed out my cute little label and Mod Podge it to the lid of the jar.

Fill it with some yummy candy, and hand out.
I filled these ones with Hersey's Hugs & Kisses, cute huh!!
Can't wait to give these to my mommy and mommy-in-laws!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Countdown to Twenty-Twelve

When we moved into our new house there were a few things that didn't make it. Our calender was one of them. We have no idea what happened to it. It vanished into thin air. While that's not a big deal (I mean it only takes two seconds and 3 bucks to go buy a new one) my husband and I decided that we would DIY a new calender.

Here's what we came up with

We both knew that the calender had to be simple, clean, and personal. Something that we could look at every day and have a little laugh or reminisce about something. While most would think of putting a favorite picture on it, we decided to go all Sesame Street-ish and come up with a fun saying or fact for the number equivalent to each month

Some examples of our calender

It was a little harder then we first thought it would be to come up with all the little sayings but it was a great way to spend a little quality time with the Hubby and to do a little reminiscing of past years.

We love our little addition to our kitchen, and we had such a wonderful time working together on a project that we decided that from now on DIY everything!! Fun!

Clean Or Dirty?

For some reason my Husband can never tell if the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty. I don't even think he looks at them. I always find a dirty spoon or plate in a dishwasher full of clean dishes. I think its a guy thing 'cause I always catch my brother doing the same thing. Silly boys!!!

So I decided to make this Clean or Dirty dishwasher magnet.

I just took an old CD, covered it with some pretty fabric and ribbon. Then cut the letters out using my wonderful Circut (oh how I love that thing!)

Hopefully this will stop the boys from making more of a mess for me to clean.

Plastic Easter Egg Wreath

What you need:
Floral Wreath
Plastic Easter Eggs
Ribbon
Hot Glue Gun

First you have to wrap your floral wreath with some pretty ribbon, 'cause you don't want to see that ugly floral green thru the little peep holes that happen when you glue on your eggs.

Next glue on eggs. I did all sides of the wreath besides the back. That way the wreath can lay flat on the wall.

Last add a pretty bow and hang up. So cute! Plus it was fast, cheap and easy... the best kind of project!

St. Patty's Day Romance

It's a St. Patrick's Day themed Mid-Week Romance! Yay!!

I love mid-week romances! It's such a cute way to remind the person you love why you love them and that you think about them often. Or if you are planning on giving them a reward for something...wink wink ;) It doesn't have to be big, just a cute little note will work.

My favorite romances are ones you can related to an up coming holiday. Here is the St. Patrick's Day mid-week romance I did for my wonderful husband and it comes with a little treat....or two!

Card Says:
It's March 17th & you know what that means,
Leprechauns, shamrocks, and the women of your dreams...
Hoping that today your not feeling to sucky.
Because tonight's the night you're going to get LUCKY!!!

Inside the pot is a gold nugget treat...which is just an individually wrapped Rolo.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

Theres A Pot Of Gold....

Yay!! St. Patrick's Day is almost here!

Since the end of February I have wanted to do some St. Patty's day crafts, but just haven't had the time. I figured with it only two days away I should put up some kind of craft or decoration. So I grabbed my scrapbooking kit and made this super cute "Theres a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow" mobile.

Super cute and easy! Just cut pretty paper into 1" strips then sew together.

My cute little pot of gold!

Oreo Truffle Pops

The other day my husband came home from work and told me that his job was having a potluck lunch and that he was in charge of bringing some kind of yummy treat. As soon as he told me I knew I wanted to make these easy yet sssoooo yummy Oreo Truffles.

What You Need:

1 package Oreo cookies (use cookie including the cream center)
1 8oz. package cream cheese (room temperature)
chocolate bark or coating
A pretty colored chocolate (optional)

1. Finely crush cookies in a food processor or place them in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin.

2. Stir in softened cream cheese. Use the back of a large spoon to help mash the two together.

3. Roll out 1″ balls or use a small ice cream scoop (which I used....makes every ball the same size, so much easier) and place on cookie sheet covered with wax paper.

4. My husband really wanted these on lollipop sticks. He was worried about people touching all of them if they weren't. So before you pop these in the freezer just add (if you want) some lollipop sticks to each one.

5. While the pops were freezing I printed out the emblem for my husbands work, placed that under a piece of wax paper and with my pretty blue colored chocolate traced my picture to make cute decorations for the truffles

6. After that you want to melt your chocolate as directed on the package. Pull truffles out of freezer and then dip them into chocolate, tap off extra and set aside on wax paper to dry.

7. Now the fun part, decorate your treats. You can use more chocolate, sprinkles, extra cookie crumbs, What ever you can think of.

I made a couple batches for my husbands work. The ones on the green board are made with Mint Oreos and the ones on the white are just regular.....both are equally good!!!!
One batch makes about 35 truffles.  ENJOY!!!
